| Abstract |
Hypertension is a leading cause of heart disease in the United States. Nearly 27% of Ogden City residents have hypertension (Utah Department of Health, 2020). This percentage is expected to rise even higher by 2025. Implementing a community-based approach to managing hypertension has proven effective and low-cost (Jafar et al., 2020). A community-based approach to hypertension involves local providers educating the population on hypertension interventions, including diet, exercise, medications, and self-monitoring. |
