Show Dear Mother, (Martha Wattis) Just a few lines on this day which has been set apart for special devotion to Mother. I do not feel any special thrill on this special day as I try and make each one special to my mother of which I have two of the finest. One I adopted or rather she did me, and I can sincerely say that I love her with my whole heart and consider that day of my adoption as my lucky one. I am a long way from home in distance only. You loved ones I keep with me all the time and hope that in the near future I can be with you in person. Dear Mother, I will not attempt to write news as Dutch will give you that. Will just wish you health and happiness and love. Your son, Ted (Charles Z. Randall 2nd Lieut. 162nd Inf. U.S. N. G.) FROM: E.A. Littlefield SSU 64R Par BCM Paris France. May 12, 1918 TO: Mrs. E.O. Wattis 2540 Eccles Ave Ogden, Utah USA. |
