The church was incorporated on February 10, 1926. On October 5, 1930, the Rev L.A. Platt of Ontario,California _ became the first Pastor of the New Zion Baptist Church. pastored for six years. Through this effort, Wall Avenue Baptist Church became New Zion Baptist Church.
