Show Oct. 10, 1918 Mother Mine: Just a few lines this afternoon saying I am well. Came into our division opened this attack the 26th and since that time have been either too busy, to cold or to close to Fritz to strike a light. So far outside of road accidents we have been lucky, only one man being gassed, although the cars show evidence of battle. Corp. Hale, the Utah man of our section, who painted the big picture in the Capital Bldg. Salt Lake, being the one gassed. He is with us now again o.k. We read the papers looking for the end in vain, but as we are advancing some each day here and more in other places, think it will come soon. Started out the 13th to see Theron but was recalled, will attempt to see him when I am given my permission, must close Mother Mine. Letters to leave. Your son, Ted. TO: Mrs. Florence Littlefield 2528 Madison Ave. Ogden, Utah U.S.A. FROM: E.A. Littlefield SSU 64R Par BCM Paris France. |
