Show Nov. 11, 1918 Dear Theron: Just a few lines as I enclose the pictures, which would be fine if retouched. The day after you left we advanced and have been on the move ever since. Went 30 kilo past the town of “V” across the river and up tp the next. Had a wonderful barrage. We ran into a bit of tough luck, had a bunch of cars blown up and had to bring and repair them under fire. We are about 30 kilo in front of where we were when you were with us. (Censored) Great news we are receiving now when do we get home. Haven’t heard from Jack yet. Have two wonderful helmets for you with Iron crosses and monograms on.Will send them first opportunity. Forward some candy. As Ever, Ted (Censored by 1st Lieut. U.S.A.A.S. |
