Show Montmedy France January 19-19. Mother Mine. Just received your letter of Dec 24th and will answer although I have no news of a startling nature to transmit. We have rumors every day concerning our departure. One day we move to Germany then the next to Langy sur Ourq near Paris. Then it is home next month then in 3, 7, etc. So far have had nothing official although we have a lot of general orders on proceedure in case of being mustered out. The rumor seems strongest that thirty five sections will leave for home in Feb, and then twenty a month after but then as there are 35 sections at base camp who have never been to the front expect them to leave first. Then the twenty to follow will be from the French Division’s who no longer need them. Our division is one of the oldest Divisions in the French Armies and all losses have been made up to pre war strength so it may be sometime for us still. I have everything that I need to wear and eat and if it wasn’t for the lack of mail wouldn’t have a thing to complain of, so keep the news coming.
