Montimedy France. February 10, 1919. Mother Mine. Corp Hale returns from Paris yesterday and if what he says is true, we will be on our way home by March 4. Nothing official though yet. I am going into Paris for 3 days today with a letter, to try to be discharged in America as soon as possible and maybe at this date. Now I am going to ask you to do something for me. Would like you to see that when I wire you the date of my arrival in Ogden that there is a good write up in the morning paper. If necessary think Johnnie Lewis Jewler will see it goes in, believe he is interested in Examiner Date. Sgt first stars. Ted Littlefield who entered the Amer Field Service as a private and who has been decorated for heavy under fire once by Gen Petans and once by Gen Renouard with divisional Croix de Guerre. This is a distinction which it is believed to be enjoyed by only one Utah man. He also was the first Utah man to be decorated for having in the world war. Sgt. Littlefield is due to arrive today on the train. Then anything else you may think of. This line may get me some good business chance. Try and have my picture run at same time.
