A collection of photographs and oral history quotes that document the history of the Prisoner of War camp at Defense Depot Ogden that opened in 1943 and closed in 1946. The oral histories were conducted with widows of German and Italian POWs, former guards, and community members that worked with the POWs. |

They were good workers and after they'd pick their quota, they had a quota of 50 bushels of apples a day. They'd pick that and then pick for the guard. What they made above the quota we'd go down to the store and buy them what they wanted. Those guys worked, they were all good workers. They picked tomatoes for us, they picked so many boxes of tomatoes. As I can remember we had at least 20 of them on the farm picking. They would send one guard.
