Description |
The following Doctor of Nursing Practice dissertation was designed to educate people about hypertension and increase participation in their self-management of hypertension. |
Abstract |
Hypertension is a leading cause of death in the United States. Unfortunately, the asymptomatic nature of this condition leads people to ignore its presence until it becomes severe. Frequently, a lack of understanding of hypertension and a lack of resources make people delay treatment. By receiving adequate education about hypertension self-management, people can become more involved in their health and improve outcomes. |
