New Zion Annual Spring Revival & Church Anniversary We will be celebrating our annual church anniversary and spring revival March 16-18 & 20. Plans are underway for an enjoyable and spirit-filled celebration. Sis. Ann Carpenter and Sis. Tamara Larry are our planning committee co-chairpersons this year. Our celebration theme is, “The Church Taking the Shield of Faith’ with a_ scripture text of Ephesians 6:16. The committee chairpersons are requesting that you contact them or the church office as soon as possible if you have recently reached the 50-year membership point so that you may be included in our “fifty year” (ribute. They have also requested that we all be in prayer and meditation for this wonderful annual celebration. This week’s meditation scripture is, “For the Lord God is ‘a sun and shield;’ the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will Hw withhold from those who walk uprightly.” [Psalm 84:11]. Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, And on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, We do now, in the presence of God, angels, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ. We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love, to strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain to worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrine: To contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations. We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements and exemplary in our deportment; To avoid all tattling, backbiting and excessive anger. To abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage, and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior. We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; To remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; To be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rule of our Savior to secure it without delay. (All Together) We moreover engage that when we remove from this place, we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word. This week’s meditation scripture is, “Jesus said to the people, ‘because of your unbelief, for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain; move from here to there, and it will move and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” [Matthew 17:20-21]. Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies; who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagles. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He made known His ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: Neither will He keep His anger forever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: As a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children’s children; to such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His commandments to do them. The Lord hath prepared His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all. Bless the Lord, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His word. (All Together) Bless ye the Lord, all ye His hosts; ye ministers of His, that do His pleasure. Bless the Lord, all His works in all places of His dominion: Bless the Lord, O my soul. “Lord Senda Revival” ; VERSE 1: Send a revival, O Christ, my Lord, let it go over the land and sea; Send it according to Thy dear Word, and let it begin with me. And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and Stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto Him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And He closed the book, and He gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the s ynagogue were fastened on Him. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their s ynagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And His fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto Him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and _ those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and He healed them. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on Him. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And His fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto Him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and He healed them. (All Together) And there followed Him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan. Shar, “OT Want to See Him” Bee. VERSE 2: When in service for my Lord, dark may be the night; But I'll cling more close to Him, He will give me light; Satan’s snares may vex my soul, turn my thoughts aside; But my Lord goes ahead, leads whatever be tide. CHORUS: OI want to see Him, look upon His face; There to sing forever of His saving grace; On the streets of Glory, let me lift my voice; Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice. Clem Collins, LZb The Resurrection of Jesus (Matthew 28:1-10 & 18-20) In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not Ye: for | know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, He go before you into Galilee; there shall ye see Him: lo, | have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring His disciples word. And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held Him by the feet, and worshipped Him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell My brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see Me. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (All Together) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever | have commanded you: and, lo, | am with you always, even unto the end of the world. 7} A 4y Sis. (Isaiah 40:18 & 21-31) To whom then will ye liken God? Or what likeness will ye compare unto Him? Have ye not known? Have ye not heard? Hath it not been told you from the beginning? Have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a first tent to dwell in. That bringeth the princes to nothing; He maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and He shall also blow upon them and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. To whom then will ye liken Me, or shall | be equal? Saith the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: He calleth them all by names by the greatness of His might, for He is strong in power; not one faileth. Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is passed over from my God? Hath thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding. He giveth power to the faint: and to them that have no might He increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. (All Together) But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; and they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. “Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand” VERSE 1: Time is filled with swift transition, naught of earth unmoved can stand; Build your hopes on things eternal, hold to God’s unchanging hand! CHORUS: Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand. Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand. Build your hopes on things eternal; Hold to God’s unchanging hand! VERSE 2: Trust in Him who will not leave you, whatsoever years may bring; If by earthly friends forsaken, still more closely to Him cling! CHORUS: Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand. Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand. Build your hopes on things eternal; Hold to God’s unchanging hand! VERSE 3: Covet not this world’s vain riches, that so rapidly decay; Seek to gain the heavenly treasures; They will never pass away! CHORUS: Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand. Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand. Build your hopes on things eternal; Hold to God’s unchanging hand! And Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set him in the midst of them. And said, Verily | say unto you, except ye be converted; and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in My name receiveth Me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for | say unto you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of My Father which is in heaven. Whosoever shall receive one of such children in My receiveth Me: and whosoever shall receive Me, receiveth name, not Me, but Him that sent Me. And they brought young children to Him, that He should touch them: and His disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw It, He was much displeased, and said unto them, suffer the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not: for such is the kingdom of God. Verily | say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
