Ses 17°5 IMPOSSIBLE On December 6th, Wahlquist had an assembly during 7th period. Held in the gymnasium, a program was presented by a professional mind reader, George Ray George. : He began the program by tossing a deck of cards out into the audience. The person in the audience who caught these cards then selected on and remembered it. Eight students were participants in this. George then thought hard and named the cards which had been picked by these students. : Early in the program, George wrote something on a paper. He then asked one of our students, Scott Gibson, to hold this paper till later on in the program. Toward the end of his performance, he then selected three students to come up and write three numbers on a paper. A fourth student was then asked to total these nun- bers and write the sum on a paper. George then got the paper from Scott and compared the two numbers. They turned out to be the same.
