He is the youngest child and only son of Sister India Lacoste and stepfather Brother Ron Lacoste. Brother Gaines’ parents and three older sisters now all reside in Salt Lake City. Brother Gaines came to the Clearfield Job Corps Center in 2007 where he obtained his high school diploma. He is currently employed with a local telemarketing agency here in Ogden. Brother Gaines accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 15 years old. He united with New Zion Baptist Church in September of 2009. Brother Gaines states he loves God and fellowshipping with his church family. He also enjoys music, considers himself a social person and likes clothes, especially wearing suits. He hopes and looks forward to having a wife and family one day and teaching them about the love of God; the importance and joy of having a strong, close relationship with God, and the blessing of sharing His goodness with others. He has a passion to lead others to Christ and has always had a deep desire to preach the word of God and someday serve as a pastor.
