Education is rife with free educational resources that do not mirror the advancements made in recent years in pedagogy. The purpose of this project is to create an example of a unit that employs current pedagogical advancements and make it available for free on the web. The result was a unit that focuses on the use of competency-based learning, standards-based grading, and the new NGSS science standards. This project is intended to be a seed to start conversations about the implementation of various models that have positive effects on students. |
