Show Belgium Dear Theron: Haven’t been able to send those things yet as we are on the move, following Fritz as you see by the above. Have some spike helmets etc which if I can’t send will bring with me when I return. Am top now, also have been proposed for a second Croix de Guerre in the last battle before the Armistice was declared. Kemble takes my place, but he is on leave so I have been quite a busy man. We are acclaimed as heroes as we pass through the villages, nothing too good for us. Although it getting cooler every day, we do not notice it as we now have plenty of coal, wood and fine quarters. Well Theron will do my best to get some things back to you soon, but if I can’t right away, will bring them when I return. Write soon, as it may take weeks for us to get any mail. As Ever, Ted. |
