Two International trucks in the background have older type of bodies. White truck with 7 cubic yard body is shown on the right. Note the men standing up to back the trucks. January 10th, 1932. # 841 A Moreland truck of 12 cubic yards capacity. This truck has dual roar axle. Note the wire mesh protection over the hood and the protected headlights. In 1931, Utah joined Six Companies Inc. to raise the surety required to bid for the Boulder (Hoover) Dam contract. One of the world’s largest dams, Hoover Dam was completed in 1936 at a cost of $49 million. These scrapbooks document through photographs the construction of the dam showcasing UCC's part in its creation. |
