| Description |
A collection of photographs and oral history quotes that document the history of the Prisoner of War camp at Defense Depot Ogden that opened in 1943 and closed in 1946. The oral histories were conducted with widows of German and Italian POWs, former guards, and community members that worked with the POWs. |

The prisoners would be allowed time in the exercise yard, which was opposite the Provost Marshall's office. I could see them, but I never approached the area and never talked with any of them. They were young men, probably aged 19 to 25. Their pay was low. I do not remember any of their names except that the names were difficult to type from dictation... -Lynn Ransom Burton |

Archived TIFF images were scanned at 300 dpi with an Epson Expression 10000XL scanner. Digital images were reformatted in Photoshop. JPG and PDF files were then created for general use. |
