To abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drinks as a be verage, and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; To remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress, to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech, To be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rule of our Savior to secure it without delay. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all, to stand. Standing therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness. And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and Supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. (All Together) But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. ‘““Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand” VERSE 1: Time is filled with swift transition, naught of earth unmoved can stand, Build your hopes on things eternal, hold to God’s unchanging hand. CHORUS: Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand, Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand, Build your hopes on things eternal, hold to God’s unchanging hand. VERSE 2: Trust in Him who will not leave you, what so ever years may bring; If by earthly friends forsaken, still more closely to Him cling CHORUS: Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand; Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand, Build your hopes on things eternal, hold to God’s unchanging hand. VERSE 3: Covet not this world’s vain riches, if to God you have been true, Seek to gain the heavenly treasures, they will never pass away. CHORUS: Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand, Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand, Build your hopes on things eternal, hold to God’s unchanging hand. VERSE 4: When your journey is completed, if to God you have been true, Fair and bright the home in glory, your enraptured soul will view CHORUS: Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand; Hold to His hand, God’s unchanging hand, Build your hopes on things eternal, hold to God’s unchanging hand. Spiritual Warfare (Ephesians 6:10-18 & Romans 13:12-14) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the po wer of His might. Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. For thou, Lord, has made me glad through Thy work: | will tniumph in the works of Thy hands. O Lord, how great are Thy works! and Thy thoughts are very deep. O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In His — hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is His also. The sea is His, and He made it: and His hands.formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For He is our God; and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today if ye will hear His voice. He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way. Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families life a flock. Thanksgiving (Psalms 92:1-5; 95:1-7 & 107:40-43) It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto Thy name, O most High: to shew forth Thy loving kindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness every night. Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. For thou, Lord, has made me glad through Thy work: | will triumph in the works of Thy hands. In His hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is His also. The sea is His, and He made it: and His hands formed the dry land. (All Together) The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth. Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they Shall understand the loving kindness of the Lord. “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms” VERSE 1: What a fellowship, what a joy divine, leaning on the everlasting arms; What a blessedness, what a peace is mine, leaning on the everlasting arms.
