Selma & Romans 10:8-11) There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus at night, and said unto Him, Rabbi, we know that Thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that Thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, | say unto thee, Except aman be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, | say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that | said unto thee, Ye must be born again. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (All Together) For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. And as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this | say brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, | shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be. raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruptible, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then Shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. Pastor Appreciation Service The Finley Temple Church of God in Christ has invited New Zion to join them for their 11" Pastor’s Appreciation Service of Elder Henry If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. Behold, | shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (All Together) & Sis. McAllister on Sunday, July 22", 3:30 p.m., at the Davis Convention Center, in Layton. Their celebration theme is, “Warriors Weathering the Storms” [2 Timothy 2:1-13]. Their guest speaker will be Elder George Green, Pastor of New Revelation Church of God in Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. Hye HZ “We’ve Come This Far By Faith” CHORUS: We've come this far by faith, leaning on the Lord; Trusting in His Holy Word, He’s never failed me yet. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh — can’t turn around, we’ve come this far by faith. VERSE 1; Don’t be discouraged with trouble in your life; He'll bear your burdens, and move all misery and strife. CHORUS: = That’s why — we’ve come this far by faith, leaning on the Lord; Trusting in His Holy Word, He’s never failed me yet. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh — can’t turn around, we’ve come this Jar by faith. VERSE 2: Just the other day I heard a man say he didn’t believe in God’s Word; I can surely say God has made a way; He’s never failed me yet. CHORUS: Thank God — we’ve come this far by faith, leaning on the Lord; Trusting in His Holy Word, He’s never failed me yet. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh — can’t turn around, we’ve come this far by faith. CHORUS: We've come this far by faith, leaning on the Lord; Trusting in His Holy Word, He’s never failed me yet. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh — can’t turn around, we’ve come this far by faith. Ever seeking to walk in the fullness of all the Lord has in store for her, Sister RichardsonBeard received a Bachelors Degree in Severe Intellectual Dysfunction from Coppin State College in Baltimore and went on to teach in the Baltimore Public School System for five years. Upon moving to Utah in 1976, she continued to enhance her academic acumen by attaining a Masters of Education Degree from the combined Weber State and Utah State Universities. She has also earned an Administrative Certificate from Utah State University as well. Sister Richardson-Beard is a highly esteemed educator within the Weber County School District where she taught Special Education for 30 years. She has recently..retired from the school system and states, “she ss now looking forward to pursing her next challenging career opportunity. ” While on campus at Coppin State College, Sister Richardson-Beard caught the eye of a young man who pursued her across campus for some time. That young man is none other than Reverend William S. Beard. He eventually won Sister Richardson-Beard’s heart and shortly thereafter they entered into the covenant of marriage. The Lord has blessed their union with two adult sons: their oldest named Tanoka, who was born in Baltimore and their youngest, named Darius who was born here in Ogden. Reverend and Sister Beard also enjoy four beautiful grandchildren. Sister Richardson-Beard has been a member of Second Baptist Church since 1976 and has faithfully served as First Lady at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Pocatello, ID, since 1989. She has been actively involved in the life of Bethel where she teaches Adult Women’s Class during Church School, where she says, “the women teach her something new each week.” First Lady Geraldine Richardson-Beard has been gifted with sparking wit, a genuine love of God and His people, pearls of godly wisdom and a servant’s heart; all of which bring her to the forefront as a sterling example of a “Christian woman of grace.” As ANNOUNCEMENTS (Continued) Presidential Awards & Educational Scholarships Banquet The IGBC Youth Department will host their Annual Presidential Awards & Scholarships Banquet on Saturday, August 18, 2007, 7:00-9:00 p.m., at the Red Lion Inn in Salt Lake. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lo ving kindness and tender mercies; who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He made known His ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will He keep His anger forever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children’s children; to such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His commandments to do them, The Lord hath prepared His throne in the heavens: and His kingdom ruleth over all. Bless the Lord, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commanaments, hearkening unto the voice of His word (Together) Bless ye the Lord, all ye His hosts; ye ministers of His, that do His pleasure. Bless the Lord, all His works in all places of His dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul. 2°. “Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand” bo Ne be.
