Smauldon Minister Smauldon was born January 10, 1986 and is a native of Ogden, Utah. He is the oldest son of Sister Sharon Smauldon and he resides with her and his brothers Marcus, Matthew and Malcolm. He also has one sister, Brianne, and an older brother, Brian. Minister Smauldon accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in April 2005 and was baptized that same month. He has contributed to the life of New Zion in various capacities. He has been a drummer in the church Music Ministry for almost four years and continues to faithfully serve as the primary drummer for all of New Zion’s choirs. Minister Smauldon demonstrated his commitment to steadfastly represent the youth and young adults of New Zion as a member of the recent Pastoral Search Committee, providing a youthful perspective in the selection of our current pastor, Dr. Bruce Davis, Sr. Minister Smauldon graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 2004 and lettered four times in music and was awarded a music endorsement on his diploma. He earned numerous accolades and awards via is musical gifts and talents, such as: the Marshall White Center African American Youth Award for Music; the Semper Fidelis Music Award from the United States Marine Corps; and he was a distinguished member and Drum Captain of the Ben Lomond High School Bagpipe Corps which played in the Saint Patrick's Day Parade in New York City and the World Bagpipe Championships in Scotland. Minister Smauldon also played with the Salt Lake Scots Bagpipe Band for seven years where he competed in the North American Championships in Canada three times and as a solo drummer won numerous medals for his stellar performances. currently works as a_ Transportation Security Transportation Security Administration under Minister Smauldon Officer with the the Homeland Security at the Salt Lake International Airport.
