For one week, young adults from across Utah, ages 15 -18, escape to the fresh outdoors of Camp Tuttle, in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Spencer Terry, Youth Program Director of the Utah Region NCC4J, is asking our help in recruiting students for this year's summer program. The one-week camps will run June 20 -25 and July 25 - 30. The cost of "ANYTOWN" is $275.00; however, no one will be turned away because they cannot afford the fee. The Dr. Joan W. Smith Scholarship Fund is available to delegates on a need basis. The musical was to be held on Sunday, July 18, 2004, at 3:30 p.m. As this news is disappointing and saddens our hearts, as we were looking forward to praise and fellowship with you, we will be having the musical. When the day and time have been decided, we will let you know. Please share. Yesterday I was at a board meeting with SHARE where some information was presented that I would like to pass on to you. On July 30th and 31st, on 25th and Monroe at Central Middle school, a health fair is being sponsored by the Jr. Women's league from 9:00 - 5:00 for those aged 1 - 18. At this fair, free medical and dental services will be provided. They recommend arriving early as hundreds were helped last year. Also on August 14th at Liberty park (21st and Monroe) the "Convoy of Hope" will be doing the same thing for needy families. In addition to the medical and dental, there will be a food distribution and also haircuts provided. All of the services for these two events are free. If more dental or medical is needed, the ongoing care is also free. As you interview, please pass this along to your families. This is the kind of info I would like to get out to all our employees who are in need. Thanks everyone! People from several different churches were involved in the last one on June 12, and everyone had a wonderful time. Several people informed us that they heard about the concert at the last minute and this time we would like to let everyone know in advance. We would appreciate it if you would announce it to your congregation and post a flier. It will be on August 21, 2004 at the Ogden Amphitheater on Washington and 25th street. It will start at 4:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. There will be 5 different Christian bands and worship teams from Northern Utah and a guest speaker (to be announced). We are very excited because the Lord is doing a great work in Northern Utah and we want to be a part of it. We would love to have you and your congregation be a part of it too. Our goal is to continue to bring the area churches and the community together to celebrate the Lord and to have a better relationship with the Lord Jesus and each other.
