Jackson Pastor of True Vine Baptist Church — Kaysville, Utah Pastor LaMar T. Jackson was born in Cleveland Ohio to the late, Reverend Wilbert J. Jackson and Martha J. Jackson. He ts the second child of five and shared his days with one brother, Wilbert Jr. (deceased), and three sisters, Deborah, Diane, and Donna (deceased). At the early age of nine years old, he confessed to Christ and was baptized at Charity Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. At the age of 16 years old, he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. It was at the age of 28 that he would meet Jesus Christ and come to receive him as Lord Savior. He was called by God in August of 1988 to preach the gospel. ™ =—— He united with Evergreen Baptist Church of Las Vegas, Nevada under the late |Pastor+ Nathaniel Whitney that fall of 1989. He preached his first sermon April of 1990, from the scripture of St. John 15:13 and theme “My New Friend”. He was ordained November 5, 1995. Since his calling, he served under Pastor Nathaniel Whitney from the spring of 1990 until November 1995. He organized and served as the "Under Shepherd" of Shiloh Baptist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada from December 1995 to April 1999 and New Hope Baptist Church in Rock Springs, Wyoming from December 1999 to October 2003. Pastor LaMar T. Jackson was called to True Vine Baptist Church in November 2003 to present as pastor of this body of believers in Christ. He currently serves as Dean of the Congress of Christian Education for the Intermountain General Baptist Convention, Incorporated. Knowing that the Lord has commanded the saints to “study to show themselves approved unto God”, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightfully dividing the word of truth (2" Timothy 2:15), he has since enrolled in Andersonville Theological Seminary to attain his Master Degree. Fields was born and raised in Philadelphia Pennsylvania ts the fifth of six children born to the late Deacon and Deaconess Ozsie and Ruth Fields. Reverend Fields is married to Barbara Fields and 1s the father of 6 children and 16 grand children and 2 great grandchildren He was educated in the Philadelphia public school system and graduated from West Philadelphia High School in January 1964. Upon graduation Reverend Fields enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country for 20 years. Reverend Fields was called to the ministry in 1978 and was ordained in 1982 at the Millennium Baptist Church in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He graduated from Philadelphia College of the Bible me in 1982, and he 1s also a graduated of Billy Graham School of ~ Evangelism and has received many certificates from the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education and was Moderator in 2004 of the Utah Idaho Southern Baptist Convention. In 1986 Reverend Fields moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and was called to pastor New Hope Baptist Church in Rock Springs, Wyoming from 1988 -1998. In 1998 Reverend Fields was call as pastor of Unity Baptist Church where he has been leading Unity for 20 years. Reverend Fields 1s currently the President of the Intermountain General Baptist Convention, where he has held many positions and is an active member of the National Baptist Convention as a teacher and staff member. Reverend Fields 1s a retired Parking Enforcement Officer from Salt Lake Cooperation, and He ts a member of the Local Union 104, the Community Action Team, Mayors Board of Ethics and Religious Divide, Black Advisory Council, and NAACP. Lp Vey Ow (Guest Qpeaker Pastor La’Mont O. House Pastor of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church — Sacramento, California Reverend La’Mont Otis House was born on October 29, 1968, in Ogden, Utah to Sandra Ann Lestrick and Otis H. House. Reverend House grew up with the close-knit community in Ogden and the New Zion Baptist Church, where he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age; in his teenage years he moved to Sacramento, California where hus still resides. Reverend House was an active member of the Genesis Missionary Baptist Church for many years. During his time at Genesis he was involved in the ministry of the Men’s Choir and served as a Deacon in Training. In 1993 he accepted his calling to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ at the early age of 24, under the spiritual leadership of Revered Dr. Robert Porter he preached his first sermon in 1994 and received his license. Reverend House became a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church in 2003 where his met his lovely wife the former Sis. Felicia Fields and under the leadership of late Pastor John C. Rogers received his second Certificate of License for “The Ministry of the Gospel”. Reverend House was ordained on Sunday, July 13, 2011 by Pastor Anthony Robertson. During his years in spiritual growth, learning, and praying he waited patiently for the Lord’s next calling in his life. Reverend House again accepted another anointed assignment from the Lord and stepped out on faith to pastor God’s people. Because of his faith in the Lord he founded the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Sacramento, California, establishing in 2011. His vision as Pastor is that every member of the Solid Rock church family will continue to work together in unity. “That they continue to create the right atmosphere for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to the greater Sacramento area, neighboring communities and to all they encounter. Continue to know, worship and praise God always. Proclaim and demonstrate His kingdom to all people through biblical teaching and discipleship.” He truly loves his church family. Reverend House is the loving husband to First Lady Felicia Fields-House, and they are the blessed parents to four children; Antoine, Antoinette, Xavier and Daniela and have seven grand-children.
