Reverend Beard serves as Minister of Education at the Second Baptist Church and is employed by the Utah Transit Authority. He was called into the ministry a few years ago and has since that time studied in the local Congress of Christian Education, with the Ministers Conference, and in the National Congress. He teaches in various religious settings and is Treasurer of the Interdenominational Ministers Conference of Utah. He resides in Ogden with his wife, Geraldine, and sons, Tanaka and Darius. 3:30 p.m. Our afternoon speaker is the Reverend Grover C. Walker, Pastor of the True Vine Baptist Church in Layton, Utah Pastor Walker is a native of Oklahoma. schools and began He was educated in Oklahoma public preaching while still living there. His career with the Federal Government brought him to Utah and he still works at Hill Air Force Base. Through this study the Laymen learn what their role is in the church and how to best accomplish same.
