Holly Frye on the birth of their new daughter, Hannah, on Sunday, December 21, 2003!!! She weighed 10 pounds and mother and daughter are doing well. Children are a gift from God and what a blessing for the Frye and Massey families!! We would like to say “Job Well Done” to all the members of our church Drama Ministry for their recent outstanding Christmas ITwo-Act Play, entitled “The Missing Jesus” and “Sing Us A True Song.” In addition to the performances being memorable and enjoyable, they also emphasized the significance of Jesus Christ and His divine purpose of creating the way for us to experience salvation through Him. It was indeed a wonderful way to celebrate the Christmas Holiday and conclude 2003!! | CHURCH COVENANT e" ao Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, And on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, We do now, in the presence of God, angels, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christan love, to strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain to worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrine: To contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the munistry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations. We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements and exemplary in our deportment; To avoid all tattling, backbiting and excessive anger. To abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage, and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior. We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; To remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; To be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rule of our Savior to secure it without delay. (All Together) We moreover engage that when we remove from this place, we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word. FOR GOD SO LOVED a (John 3:16-25) For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world: but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: believeth not is condemned already, because but he that he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. After these things came Jesus and His disciples into the land of Judea; and there He tarried with them, and baptized. And John also was baptized in Enon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized. For John was not yet cast into prison. And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily | say unto you, Except ye be converted; and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drawn in the depth of the sea. Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for| say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee lovingkindness and tender mercies; who satisfieth thy mouth good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. with with The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He made known His ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will He keep His anger for ever. He has not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof Shall know it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children’s children. To such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His commandments to do them. The Lord hath prepared His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all. Bless the Lord, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His word. Neither pray | for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word, that they all may be one, as thou, Father, art in me, and | in thee, that they also may be one in us. that the world may believe that thou hast sent me Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto | have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands upon them, they sent them away So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus. (All Together) And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.
