(b) To create a sympathy for the highest form of the dramatic and lyric art, creating a permanent taste for good drama and to obtain the best plays in our city. ArticLte IJ]—Membership: Section 1. Membership shall be of two classes: active and sustaining, preference to be given to college wome n. The needs of the Club’s purpose and program must govern the selection of candidates to be voted upon. Readers, players, soloists, artists, pianists, executives, etc., shall be preferred as they are needed: the membership being limited to thirty-five. Section 2. A candidate for active membership a resident of Ogden for one year or more. must have been Section 3. Sustaining membership may be conferred upon any member who has who is physically become a non-resident incapacitated to attend temporarily; regular a member meetings; or one whose vocation prevents regular attendance, the recommendation to be made by the membershihp committe e, and voted upon by the Club. Said member’ must obey all rules of active membership in regard to dues, etc., and is entit led to all privileges of membership except the privilege of votin g. A sustaining member has the precedence in becoming an activ e member when vacancies occur in the active membership roll. Section 8. The officers of this club shall be a president, vicepresident, a recording secretary, a corresponding secre tary, a treasurer, an auditor, a custodian. This Constitution may be amended at any annual meeting by a two-thirds vote of all active memb ers present, the proposed amendments having been submitted in writing and read to the club at a regular meeting at least two week s before being voted upon. Section 2. Amendments may also be made at an annual meeting without previous notice by the unanimou s vote of all members present. Section 3. By-laws and standing rules may be adopted, amended or repealed at any regular meeting by a two-thirds vote. BY-LAWS ARTICLE I—Dues: Section 1. The annual dues of active members shall be five dollars, and those of sustaining members five dollars, payable at the first meeting in September, which dues shall allow each member one guest at each tea day. The Treasurer shall pay bills only upon order of the Club or its executive committee; keep an itemi zed account of all receipts and disbursements and present a written report at the first meeting each month of the transactio ns of the preceding month. The book in which the records of receipts and disbursements has been kept, together with the receipted bills, also the annual report of the Treasurer, shall be submitted to the Auditor at least one week before the annua l meeting. <A supplementary report shall be presented to the new officers by the Treasurer and Auditor following the annual luncheon. The Treasurer and Auditor shall make a report at the first meeting in September. The book shall remain with the Treasurer of the preceeding year until this report is given. Her duties are to be responsible for a record of all activities and present a terse review of the Club’s work for the past year at the annual meeting and file a copy of such a repor t with the Secre- tary. Section 9. A Parliamentarian shall be appointed by the President. It shall be her duty in case of any question of procedure, to bring to the attention of the Club those provisions of the Constitution, by-laws or working rules that govern the situation, and be familiar at all times with new rules and regulations.
