The group was welcomed by Jolene as hostess for the evening and president of the club for 2010/2011. She thanked Teresa Sanderson and her committee for all their work putting together this year’s season of Award Winners. Jolene discussed a date conflict in February. The OSBA has 2 symphonies that month one of which conflicts with our meeting on the 17" of February. It was suggested that the meeting be moved to February 10; that would leave 3 weeks between the January meeting and the February meeting. Jolene will check with Charlene Nelson, who is chair for that month, and it will be discussed again next month. The auditor’s report was passed among the club members for their review. The members were reminded to pay this year’s dues of $25.00 to Karen Brookens. Parliamentarian, Marge Dene Taylor reviewed some by-laws for the members. Jolene sadly read two letters of resignation; one from Carol Hurst, the other from Afton Castlemain. It was mentioned that because of heath reasons Hazel Robertson has had to resign from her position as recording secretary. Margaret Farr has graciously agreed to fill the position for the year. The club voting on that replacement was unanimous. The time was then turned over to Joyce Stillwell and her cast for the presentation of the play “Mary, Mary.” Joyce introduced her play written by Jean Kerr, which was one of the longest running plays of the 60’s. The plot deals with Mary and Bob on the verge of a divorce and the night they spend together because of a snowstorm. The former couple exchange wise-cracks and insults and are joined by various friends who add to the hilarity. The play was delivered with professional expertise by Joyce Stillwell, Geneva Peterson, Telitha Lindquest, Margaret Farr and Shirlene Hawks-Jacobs. The women of mystery for the evening were Shirlene Hawks-Jacobs and Kera Hill. The house committee then served the group pound cake smothered with fresh peaches and whipped cream with a side of mixed nuts. Drama Club of Ogden October 21, 2010 President Jolene Zito welcomed the members of the Drama Club of Ogden to the home of Bonnie King and thanked her for her hospiltality. Jolene Rausch was thanked for sending the Drama Club announcements out. Minutes for the September meeting were read by Jolene Zito and approved as read. The February meeting will be February 10, 2011 instead of February 17 because of conflicts in community. The proposed budget was passed to the members and discussed. accepted and Val Newton seconded the motion.
