Than Feb 208 | Vol6 The old hymn of the church says, "Years I spent in vanity and pride, caring not my Lord was crucified, knowing not it was for me He died on Calvary. Mercy there was great, and grace was free; pardon there was multiplied to me; there my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary." Beloved, we are in the advent season of the pilgrimage of Christ as he heads towards Calvary's Cross. In the Catholic tradition they observe what is now known as the Lenten Season. This is marked by Ash Wednesday until the Resurrection of Christ on Easter. Many people take the 40 day journey by fasting or giving up of a particular food. As Christians we embrace the journey of Jesus as we remember the many acts, miracles and lives the Savior touched on His way to the Old Rugged Cross. Do you remember when Jesus healed the woman with the issue of Blood? This could be anyone of us right now. Travel in your mind when Jesus told the young man that wanted to follow him to let the dead bury the dead. Jesus wasn't being curt or unloving with the young lad who respectfully wanted to bury his father, but Jesus dared to share the importance of TIME and the fact that He didn't have long to do what His Father assigned to His hands. Beloved, we are approaching the highest Holy season in Christendom. Easter establishes the Christian Church and empowers the saints of God to rise up with Christ in the newness of life. I encourage each of us to experience the Love and Sacrifice Jesus made so that we may have life and it more abundantly. On behalf of the First Family and New Zion Family we believe that if you experience our worship services and opportunities you will find a place where "Everyone Counts." A great female artist by the name of Tina Turner Sung a song that rings true today that says, “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” As a church that embraces the scriptures we understand that LOVE has everything to do with how we relate to each other. Jesus the Lamb of God demonstrated His LOVE towards you and | insomuch that the Bible says, “while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” As Christians we are often challenged to prove that we have changed and are no longer the persons we once where. People attend our churches, fellowship functions and ministry events in search of some magical answer to life’s problems. Those who have been hurting, rejected and despised are seeking to find LOVE in the one place it should be found. The opportunity stands before each of us today to share our faith in a greateg way so that all of humankind can witness the greatest LO E all that can only be found in a relationship Jesus. New Zion spring time is here and with it the opportunities to plant, water and cultivate the lives of those who make up the community here in Ogden. We must inform our friends that no matter what things they have done in the past LOVE made up for it and grants another chance. Consistency and continuity are extremely important. To provide the best learning experience, we teach in units of study that build from week to week through the month, and it’s beneficial for you to be able to experience each week's lesson, if possible. We carefully prepare each week to begin meaningful teaching from the very beginning of the class, and your arrival on time helps the whole class to get the most out of the session. — Pray We promise to join you in praying for you and your family. We believe that prayer is an effective and powerful force to help protect your family. We would much appreciate your prayers for us and the classes as well. In addition, we encourage you to develop the habit of a daily quiet time with God, which will help provide a firm foundation for future life.
