Mr. McCourt¢advises me that he has heard nething further in regard to the matter from the Attorney General's office other than the telegraphic inquiry which had been made to know whether the offer of settlement involved any adjustment of the barred lands, so-called, or whether that matter remained undisturbed like the criminal case for future consideration, and Mr. MeCourt's reply thereto to the effect that claim for damages on the barred lands remained for further consideration, and that we denied liability on this claim and would be glad to submit it to the court.at any time. | Mr. here, from ment lr.
