Show Salt Lake City, Utah May, 20-1907. Elder J. Grant Geddes, Baker City, Ore. Dear Brother : - I am instructed by President Smith to say to you that for present it is thought proper that you be honorably excused from taking a foreigh mission on account of financial arrangements and matters with which you are identified and with which your labor is nessary for the continuance of said industries and for their prosperity in the future. You will understand from this, Brother Geddes, that the industries with which you are connected with need you for the present, and that this is A REPLY TO YOUR ANSWER TO THE LETTER OF INQUIRY which you received from the First Council of the Seventy. Trusting that the blessing of the Lord may continue with you in the future as in the past, and that you will also continue to hold your-self in readiness for any duty and labor assigned to you as you have hitherto done, I subscribe myself, Your fellow laborer and brother. Seymour B. Young in behalf of the First Council of the Seventy. |
