Show David Eccles, Prest & Gen’l Mor. Oregon Lumber Company, Lumber Manufacturers Ogden, Utah, March 8th, 1912 Mr. C. B. Channel, Mgr. Nibley-Channels Lumber Co., Twin Falls, Ida. My Dear Mr. Channels:- I am Just in receipt of copy of your letter of March 4th to Mr. Nibley, which no doubt partly states the facts. We have talked some of putting a yard in there. My reason for such action was that I expect to put the best part of a million dollars into burley in the matt- or of building a Sugar Factory, and help to develop that part of the country, an encourage a building boom to a great extent. As you are aware, I am heavily interested in the manufacture and sale of lumber, but for some reason we have never done much business with yards in Burley. Now, I thought, under the circumstances, just stated that I was entitled to a share of the trade, and I think you will agree with me. All we want is a little reciprocity, prices and grades being considered. If you agree with me from that standpoint I will let the matter of putting in a yard go, unless one of the yards wish to sell at a reasonable figure, in which case, I would be glad to consider a proposition from them. Would be pleased to hear from you on the above matter. With bets regards, I am, Yours respectfully, AF-DE |
