Show September 1, 1971 Mr. Georges Ordonez Consulting Geologist Avenida Juarez 42-B Glorieta Gutenberg 160 Mexico 5, D. F. Dear Georges: This is just a personal note to let you know that I expect to be in Mexico City for a few days next week. Actually, I am ar-riving late in the evening on the 7th, and staying at the Maria Isa-bella. I will be meeting Phil Dettmer, a consulting metallurgist, the following day. Then, on Thursday I have been invited to visit the steel plant of Hojalata y Laraina in Puebla. My host is Engineer Francisco Salina V. whom I met at the AIME meeting in New York last February. The one firm appointment that I have for Wednesday is with Lee Stoiser of Placer Mexicana--or Ben Baraza, should he be in town. A collegue and associate of mine in Utah, Hugh Douglas, is accompanying me on this trip. No doubt you know Hugh's father, Jim, who was with Phelps Dodge in New York for many years. I am, of course, looking forward with pleasure to seeing you and hope for a good visit, and the same goes for your son, Ezekiel. Yours sincerely, Tel 545-3330 |
