Show PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT 24 AUG 1972 MINING DIVISION UTAH INTERNATIONAL INC. Irvin International Inc. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT U.S. MEXICO DON M. IRVIN PRESIDENT 21 August 72 Dear Hugh- Your Dad gave me your address Saturday night when we were at the 49er charger game together. Dan Gorski is the geologist and I take care of the business aspect. Have just about finished the project for my major client in Mexico during the past year and would welcome any business you might send my way. Best- Don The two books in reference to the copper property were mailed to you this date! SOUTHWEST EXECUTIVE SUITE- TEL. 915-5200, P. O. BOX 18- EL PASO, TEXAS 79940 copper- Mexico 29 August 1972 Mr. Don M. Irvin President Irvin International Inc. P. 0. Box 18 El Paso, Texas 79940 Dear Don: Your letter arrived last week and the two-volume report on the Samalayuca copper mine arrived yesterday. I read all the material and have passed the report on to Bob Wheaton who is handling our exploration affairs in North America. The report is very thorough and well documented; I did have one question - - who owns the water rights? As I may have mentioned to you in La Jolla, Utah, at this time, has not decided to enter mining in Mexico. Our group has done several detailed studies on the mining and taxation implications for business in Mexico but with our interests in the United States, Australia and Canada absorbing our energy and capital, Mexico must be put in abeyance. However, something on the back burner can be moved to the front with a good mining prospect. I will let you know the reaction here. My many thanks for bringing the property to mine and Utah's attention. Yours sincerely, Hugh Douglas Manager Mineral Planning HD/nam |
