Box 18 El Paso 79940 915(533-5200) 18 Oct 72 Dear Hugh, If?#1: You can arrange for my fee to be paid in the U.S. on a deal for the Samalayuca copper mine--- then, #2: I will get the Mexican partners to accept a proposal whereby Utah will make payment with long term Mexican Govt. Bouda! Utah will then only have to come up with Funds for exploration and development! A new view has been opened that runs 2-2.5% copper. Supported by AS&R liquidation. Please encourage Mr. Bob Wheaton to show an interest or to return the report. Best regards to you and your family- Don Mexico 2 November 1972 Mr. Don M. Irvin President Irvin International, Inc. U. S. -Hex. Bus. Development P. 0. Box 18 El Paso, Texas 79940 Dear Don: Utah has reviewed the reports on the Samalayuca copper deposits. As I had mentioned to you, currently we do not have an on going program for Mexico and accordingly we are not now in a position to examine the property. However, should we become established in Mexico we would want to again review the reports and examine the property. In your last letter you indicated possible financial arrangements -your fee and payment to property owners; it would be helpful for our future information if you would outline what form these arrange-ments might be. I am returning the reports under separate cover. My best to you and the family. Yours sincerely, Hugh Douglas Manager Mineral Planning HD/nam |
