Description |
In 1928, Utah Construction Company completed its first project outside of the United States with the 110 mile railroad for Southern Pacific of Mexico. Over the next 30 years, UCC continued to work on projects in Mexico including dams, roads, mining, and canals. The collection contains several booklets and correspondence along with approximately 500 photographs. |

Show ANNOUNCING THE FORMATION OF AZTECA FLUOR UTAH ENRIQUE SAAVEDRA EDWARD BUCHANAN Azteca Fluor Utah, a Mexican corporation, has been formed to provide complete design, engineer-ing, procurement, and construction management services for Mexican mining projects. The new company brings together Mexican design-construction ability and American mining/metal- lurgical know-how, the right combination for optimum project planning and execution. The directorship of Azteca Fluor Utah is com-prised of officials of Ingenieria Azteca, Mexico City, and Fluor Utah, Inc., San Mateo, California. Ingenieria Azteca has engineered and supervised the construction of a variety of industrial projects in Mexico. Fluor Utah has designed and construct-ed mine and mill facilities for nearly 30 years, on all six continents. Operating officials of Azteca Fluor Utah are Enrique Saavedra, general director; Edward Buchanan, technical director; and Hector Guzman, director of sales.
