Description A collection of photographs and oral history quotes that document the history of the Prisoner of War camp at Defense Depot Ogden that opened in 1943 and closed in 1946. The oral histories were conducted with widows of German and Italian POWs, former guards, and community members that worked with the POWs.
Image Captions All shirts, undershirts, blouses, jackets, coats, including overcoats and raincoats, and similar articles will be marked across the back with the letters "PW" 6 inches high, and in like manner on the front of each sleeve between the elbow and shoulder with letters 4 inches high. - POW Circular No. 40, 3 August 1944.
