| Description |
A collection of photographs and oral history quotes that document the history of the Prisoner of War camp at Defense Depot Ogden that opened in 1943 and closed in 1946. The oral histories were conducted with widows of German and Italian POWs, former guards, and community members that worked with the POWs. |

Some of the Germans have done remarkably fine painting-portrait, still life and landscape. On the 22 April 1945, a well-attended art exhibit, featuring fifty of the best paintings, was held in the Officers Club. All the work had been done at the prisoners own expense and during their free time. The paintings sold rapidly and the men received canteen coupons in return. |
