| Description |
A collection of photographs and oral history quotes that document the history of the Prisoner of War camp at Defense Depot Ogden that opened in 1943 and closed in 1946. The oral histories were conducted with widows of German and Italian POWs, former guards, and community members that worked with the POWs. |

The first day I went out to the Depot I went to the building of 9A. I walked up the dock to go into work and I noticed a whole bunch of Italian prisoners. I had no idea what they were or what they were doing. So I went in and at the time Joseph was in this group and he seen me come in. As we continued to work, he used to come into my area to pick up my boxes and things I had prepared to ship to the officers overseas. And that is how we met. -Beth Giordano |
