It would be open to the public and Drama Club would have access to the items, but they would not be allowed to check out the items once there are there. By doing this, it would allow the collection to be preserved. Drama Club of Ogden Minutes May 28, 2015 Drama Club was held at the home of Geneva Peterson. President Karen Bruestle welcomed everyone including our special guest performer, Alan Hall. Roll was called by Bonnie King who was filling in for Michelle McGarry. There were 21 members present. Bonnie also read the secretary’s report for the year (prepared by Michelle) and the minutes from April’s meeting. One correction was made in the minutes: Sharyl Tucker accompanied Bonnie King’s musical number — not Charyol Wilcox. Business: Susie Venable asked that anyone who was bringing a guest to the June Breakfast to please get a hold of her by Wednesday, June 3". She informed us that the Ogden Golf and Country Club will no longer accept our membership status with them because we no longer have anyone who is a member of the country club. This issue will be addressed at a later date. She also announced that the cost per plate will by $19.00 and the meal ordered is beef stroganoff. Members were advised that they will be responsible to pay for each meal they ordered whether all their guests come or not. Karen Bruestle read a letter from Tami Sylvester requesting a sustaining status because of recent health issues. The club accepted the letter with a unanimous (however, regretful) vote. Musical number: Alan Hall presented us with a fun memory of his when he was in a road show many years ago with Geneva Peterson as the director. He recalled one of the numbers they sang and treated us with a rendition of the song called “Mississippi Mud”. Play:. The chairman for the night’s play was Jeanne Hall. The play was “Sorry Wrong Number”. Cast members were: Hall, and Alan Hall. Jolene Zito, Charyol Wilcosx Karen Bruestle, Jeanne The cast members read their roles expertly. Jolene Zito played Leona Stevenson who is a hypochondriac who is confined to bed. One night she tries to reach her husband by phone but intercepts another line and overhears a murder plot that is to happen at 11:15 that evening. She tries to stop the crime by calling a phone operator, played by Karen Bruestle, and asks to have the call traced. When she learns this can’t be done she calls the police department. Charyol Wilcox played the policeman who explains to her that they have no way of finding the persons responsible for the call she overheard. Jeanne and Alan Hall both played supporting roles as policeman and Henry and tech crew. The ending let the audience draw their own conclusions as to the who and what transpired as Leona finds out the calls originated in her own home. The play ended with Leona screaming — the phone ringing — and a man answering and saying -“sorry, wrong number”. The hostess committee - Geneva Peterson, Myrene Van Dyke, and Carolyn Stevens served a delicious strawberry dessert and the meeting was adjourned until June 6"". She is to notify any members if they have three unexcused absences to inquire about membership intent. Any motions made throughout the year affecting the government of the club are to be reported in the annual report. As recording secretary it has been my privilege to keep and read the minutes of each meeting and to take attendance at each meeting. It was not necessary to inquire about membership this year as per the constitution and by-laws of the Drama Club of Ogden. In September, the constitution was amended to allow for a membership vote to take place that day instead of waiting until the next meeting. In February, the motion was made to table until next year, the suggestion to have Weber State University’s Stewart Library secure and hold Drama Club of Ogden’s special collection. Michele L.
