| Abstract |
Risk-taking is essential in education. Taking risks and problem-solving are necessary in the learning process and are vital skills for post-graduation success. The current education system does not allow students to take risks and explore learning. Instead, it reinforces a fear of failure, directly impacting students' ability and willingness to take risks. This proposal focuses on the need for risk-based learning and the impact a fear of failure can have on students. It also discusses modern professional development methods for educators and how risk-based learning can be presented in a training format that is accessible and applicable to all. The research led to the creation of an online training course for instructors focused on teaching them how to incorporate risk-based learning in the classroom. The training included three content modules: risk-based learning, students' fear of failure, and creative-based learning. |
