Reverend Harold O. Fields Rev. Harold Fields was born June 1, 1946 in Philadelphia PA. He is the fifth of six children born to the late Ozsie and Ruth Fields. He was educated in the Philadelphia public school system and graduated from West Philadelphia High School in January 1964. Upon graduation from high school, Rev. Fields enlisted in the United States Navy where he completed 3 years active duty and 17 years reserve duty. Rey. Fields spent 40 years living in Philadelphia. He worked for the United States Mint as an electrician. While employed at the US Mint, he was a member of the AFGE and was an EEO counselor. Rev. Fields was called to the ministry in 1978 and was ordained in 1982 at the Millennium Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA. Rey. Fields graduated from Philadelphia College of the Bible in 1982 and he moved to Salt Lake City, UT in 1986 where he was called to pastor New Hope Baptist Church in Rock Springs, WY. He served as pastor there for 10 years. Rev. Fields currently serves as pastor of Unity Baptist Church in Salt Lake City, UT. Under his leadership many souls have been added to the kingdom as well as lost souls who have come home and the church has had major physical renovations and upgrades. Rev. Fields has strengthened community relationships. | Rev. Fields is the President of the Intermountain General Baptist Convention, Inc. and has held many positions within the Convention. Rev. Fields is a past moderator of the Utah-Idaho Southern Baptist Convention and was an active participant in the Southern Baptist outreach ministry, “Reach for the Gold,” during the Salt Lake Olympics in 2002. Rev. Fields is retired from the City of Salt Lake as a Parking Enforcement Officer. He is a member of the local union and the Community Action Team. Rev.
