Show aire i re eR i i bs x sk hn tien enn esis cael satis Cs ae Warriors in attendance that night, the pride in Weber High reached new depths as the crowd sang the school hymn while the red, “W”’ lit up the footbail field and the Warrior mascot silentiy stood at attention. Fireworks, sponsored by the Junior Class, capped the nights festivities. Friday began with the Day Pep Rally, sponsored by the Student Government class. Competitions included a VW push, food relay, and tug-of-war. The annual Homecoming Football game got off to amemorabie start as skydivers delivered the game bail and referee whisties and hundreds of red, black, gray and white balloons were launched from the stadium at the kick-off. Halftime activities featured the Warriorettes, the Warrior Marching Band, and the crowning of the 4985 Homecoming Queen, Miss Joan Card, with attendants Dani Maughn and Pam Berreft. Our football team added finishing touches to a great evening as they defeated the Layton High Lancers. Saturday morning saw student officers converge once more at the school as decorations co-chairman Brook Messerly and Wendy Hurd’s combined talents and preparations transformed the Commons and cafeteria area into a memorable Homesoming Dance atmosphere. It was a time that will live on in the hearts and minds of those Warriors who made themselves a part of the happenings.
