Emma DeGeorgia, Ellen Bond, Beth Fowers, Betty Jean Frew, Donna Allen, Jessie Bingham, Shirley Burrows, Helen Butler, Martina Bowers, Beth Smith, Ruth Allred, Ardis Butt, Elda Kley, Phyllis Hailey, Bernice Rawlins, Mr. Reid. Donna Beck, Beverly Packer, Bonnie Blair, Lois Crowther, Sylvia Roberts, LuDean Holmes, Helen Steele, Margaret Dallinga, Billie Taylor, Erma Taylor, Fae Howard, Donna Sparrow, Lois Bitton, Emma Bowers, Phyllis Montgomery, Lucy Switzer. The Band, under the direction of Mr. Reid, furnished pep music for all home football and basketball games. Then, in collaboration with the orchestra, they presented a public concert on April 30, which was their first public appearance in their new uniforms. They also participated in the Music Festival at Logan and in the National Music Contest. The Orchestra gave an assembly on November 8 and accompanied the Christmas Cantata on December 19. It also furnished several numbers for the Fine Arts Review on April 25 then participated in a joint public concert with the Band on April 30. On May 2-3 they traveled to Logan to take part in the Logan Music Festival, then entered the National Music Contest in Ogden on May 8-9-10. The Vocal Department, which consists of the Mixed Chorus and the Girls’ Glee Club, has also been a very active group this past year. It presented a Cantata entitled “The First Christmas” at an afternoon and evening performance on December 19. Both groups attended the Logan Music Festival on May 2-3 and the National Music Contest in Ogden on May 8-9-10. Also the Glee Club rendered many fine numbers for school assemblies and the Fine Arts Review on April 25. 51
