The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show TUES. FEB. 20, 1906 WEDNESDAY 21 We are busy all the morning getting ready to start on trip to California. We leave on Sanpedis Limited at 3 p.m. A very nice train and we anticipate having a good time San Bernardino California THURS. FEB. 22, 1906 Washingtons Birth day. We travel all day over the desert. A hard looking country. We arrive in San Bernardino at 3 p.m. stop at Stewart Hotel nice place. Have Auto. visit John Brown Jr. Take him and his wife in Auto and they show us the town. Visit Fathers old place, Amasa Lymans place and all the old Mormon places of interest. Write cards home Retire early. FRIDAY 23 San Bernardino Cal We go to Redlands in company with John Brown a beautiful ride of ten miles through orange groves, palms, ect. Take carriage at Redlands and visit Smiley Heights a most wonderfull and beautiful place. Ride around city. Return to San Bernardino and take Auto for Arrow Head Hot springs Six miles distant on side of Mountain. A nice trip and beautiful plase |
