THE TRIUMPHAL ENTRY And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage, and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him and bring him. We will host Easter Sunrise Services at 6:30am. And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither. Our Sunday School Easter Program will be on Easter Sunday morning. And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without, in a place where two ways met: and they loose him. Combined Deacon and Trustee meeting will be April 1, 1999 at 6:00pm . And certain of them that stood there said unto them , why do ye, loosing the colt? Business Meeting will be Thursday April 8, 1999 at 7:00pm And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go. KEKEKKKKKKRKRKKRKKKRKKKEKK And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.. KKRKEKEKKKEKEK And many spread their garments in the way; and others cut down branches off the trees; and strawed them in the way. Therefore, since we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. Romans 5:1&2 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest. And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple. NOTES ON THE SERMON A HIGHER GROUND I’m pressing on the upward way, New heights I’m gaining everyday; Still praying as I onward bound, “Lord plant my feet on higher ground.” Lord, SUBJECT: My heart has no desire to stay, Where doubts arise and fears dismay; Tho’ some may dwell where these abound, My prayer, my aim is higher ground. Lord, SCRIPTURE: Lift me up, and I shall stand by faith, on heavens tableland; A higher plain than I have found, Lord, plant my feet on higher ground. NOTES: BECAUSE HE LIVES God sent his Son, they called him Jesus, He came to love, heal, and forgive; He lived and died to buy my pardon. An empty grave is there to prove Savior lives. And then one day, I’ll cross the river; I’ll fight life’s final war with pain; And then as death gives way to victory, I’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know He lives. Because He lives, I can face tomorrow; Because he lives, all fear is gone; Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living just because He lives. Let me at the throne of mercy find a sweet relief: Kneeling there in deep contrition, Help my unbelief. Refrain: Trusting only in thy merit, would I seek Thy face; Heal my wounded broken spirit, Save me by Thy grace. The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me besides the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Refrain: Thou the Spring of all my comfort, More than life to me, Whom have I on earth besides Thee? Whom heaven but Thee? in REFRAIN: Savior, Savior, Hear my humble cry; While on others Thou art calling, Do not pass me by. Thou prepareth a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anoint my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
