Show a i u Life — Fire — “oe —— Accident & Health ——- JOSEPH Every 515 Security Casualty eo & Probate Bonds —— Annuities E. OLSEN INSURANCE Need Bldg. - 102 North Douglas 9247 Brand Blvd. Degsember 9, Glendale, California 1958, * Mr. Val Browning, 1205 Security.Bank Ogden, Utah. Dear Bldg., Val: premium Have being renewed the insurance on the 3120.80, which you may remit Made an inspection of the plunge plunge property, the at your convenience, property yesterday. The State is still occupying it as a mattress factory under their relief program. The foreman of the project informed me that he thought they would remain there indefinitely, although he could not tell for certain at this time. They started out to make ten thousand mattresses for use in transient camps throughout the state, They have about twenty-five hundred mattresses to make to complete the ten thousand supply. Just recently, however, the State author-— ized the establishment of two additional transient camps in northern California. These camps will require mattresses and so it appears that the plant will be operated in San Fernando for six or seven months longer at least. It has been my hope that this state project would to occupy the property long enough to justify the endeavor it to them. I hope for this reason that they remain there or three years anyway, as this would be sufficient time to some political strings for the sale of the property. By the way, wish you would give me your opinion continue to sell for two pull on the ad- visability of acquiring some Denver & Rio Grande Western Refunding& Improvement Bonds, 5*s, 1978. These bonds have defaulted in their interest since 1935. They are now selling for $8.00 on the hundred, which is circles only that 25% these of present market price. or ten of the thousand at the present their bonds market 1937 are an high. It is attractive considered speculation in at certain their I had thought some of acquiring either five dollar denomination of these bonds, which would call for an investment of from $400.00 to 3800.00. Kindly investigate and let me know how you feel about this and whether or not you consider the possibility of appreciation in value sufficiently attractive to justify waiving income in the interim, With best wishes to all there Sincerely from all here, |
