Show Occidental Life Insurance Company LOS Mr. Val February 21, 1936 may be able to Belgium the inheritance Browning 1205 Security Ogden, Utah Dear ANGELES Bank Bldg. hope and Vals I still three or four days trust before that you goingto come down here tax for matters cannot be discussed intelligently except by those who have gone into it from the different corporate and estate angles. The boys here have approached this problem in various ways entirely different from the approach made by the great majority of attorneys, certified public accountants, or tax authorities, and if you could bring with you the financial statement of the company together with a brief set-up of some of the subsidiary properties, in two or three days som of the prospects for tax avoidance and savings could be outlined to you together with the method of obtaining these tax advantages. It may be that the suggestions they will have to make wouldn't interest you in the least, and on the other hand I feel that they would and I am sure that the savings to all, both immediate and future, is of great import. It may be that you would learn nothing new, yet from what I have seen in other cases you would acquire help that the great majority of attorneys, accountants, and tax authorities will never suggest to youe As an example, one large estate here in Los Angeles with holdings of approximately three millions of dollars has gone into the matter and set the plan in question. Before changing attorneys review its legal aspects and pass upon it, besides having submitted ing bodies for an opinion. The better than they could suggest. I am sure that and tax authorities you will up attorneys find that their estate holdings along their set-up they had four (4) two independent tax authorities it to the state and rederal tax~ admitted the great are wholly unfamiliar with the plan was majority of the plan which much attorneys the men here will outline to youe In any event it will cost little to make the investigation, and the advantages may be very great to all concerned. Sincerely, co JHO:RH |
