Show OME ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT ‘Mary Larson Teaches: Homeliving, English B Attended: U.S.A.C. Degree: B. S. Our objectives in Home Economics at Weber High were many. One of the first’ was to help our students leave our department with a better understanding , ability and desire to share in the everyday activities of home making on a personal, family, and community level. The girls were expected to acquire knowledge and skills in the science of nutrition, planning and preparing good economical foods for the family; selection, care and construction of the family ward- weet te ee eee as robe, maagement of personal and family living, homenursing, money management, plus many more not mentioned here. _ However our main goal was to help prepare the girls at Weber High for the most important role in their life—that of being a good wife, mother and homemaker.
