Show ANNUAL MEN’S DAY PROGRAN FEBRUARY 21, 1999, 3:30 P.M. THEME: A REMINDER FROM THE PASTOR MEN LIVING BY THE WORK OF GOD (Deuteronomy 8:3, and Matthew 4:4) ORDER OF WORSHIP In the increasingly complex life of our American Society, it is necessary that our Baptist Churches have an organization that will attract and mobilize the men of the church and channel their influence for a larger kingdom of service. It is significant and somewhat condemning that the implementation of the purpose and program of our churches has been largely in the hands of the women who today make up the majority of our church attendants and workers. The obvious trend toward greater service by women is evidenced not only in the church, but in civic and social affairs as well. lt would seem that women are showing more concern for the moral and spiritual uplift of society while men are concerning themselves more with the acquisition of material things. lf the influence of the church is to be felt in the affairs of our total culture, then Christian men must take their places in the life and work of the church and fulfill the responsibility they have to God and their fellow stewards. It is theirs to tend the vineyard, nurture the vine, and to prepare the fruit in a manner acceptable to Him. “And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.” (Genesis 2:15) Bs TEP WORSE RET RREE MASTER BERR ee eacacssss ae cmme sew nemmaxnens oe .
