Leader: I never can forget the hour I felt the Savior’s cleansing power. My sin and guilt He cancelled there, ‘twas there He answered mother’s prayer. She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and deliveredth girdles unto the merchant. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed: her husband also, and he praiseth her. (Together) Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excelleth them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. “We'll Understand It Better By and By” VERSE 1: We are often tossed and driven on the restless sea of time, somber skies and howling tempests oft succeed a bright sunshine; In that land of perfect day, when the mists have rolled away, we will understand it better by and by. Depart to Serve”’ i The Church Ss (I Corinthians 12:12-14, 20 & 26-27; ” 4:4-6; I Corinthians 3:10-11 & Ephesians 2: 19-22) For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body — Jews or Greeks, slaves or free — and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. Indeed, the body does not consist of one member but of many. As it is, there are many members, yet one body. If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all. According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder | laid a foundation, and someone else is building on it. Each builder must choose with care how to build on it. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that foundation is Jesus Christ. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. (All Together) In Him the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God. “IT Am on the Battlefield”’ for My Lord” VERSE 1: I was alone and idle, I was a sinner too, I heard a voice from heaven say there is work to do; I took my Master’s hand, and I joined the Christian band; I’m on the battlefield for my Lord. CHORUS: I am on the battlefield for my Lord, I’m on the battlefield for my Lord; I promised Him that I would serve Him till I die; I’m on the battlefield for my Lord. VERSE 2: I left my friends and kindred bound for the Promised Land, the grace of God upon me, the Bible in my hand; In distant lands I trod, crying sinner come to God; I’m on the battlefield for my Lord. CHORUS: I am.on the battlefield for my Lord, I’m on the battlefield for my Lord; I promised Him that I would serve Him till I die; I’m on the battlefield for my Lord. VERSE 3: Now when I met my Savior, I met Him with a smile, He my healed wounded spirit, and owned me as His child; around the throne of grace, He appoints my soul a place; I’m on the battlefield for my Lord. CHORUS: I am on the battlefield for my Lord, I’m on the battlefield for my Lord; I promised Him that I would serve Him till I die; I’m on the battlefield for my Lord. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all. “TI Am on the Battlefield” for My Lord” VERSE 1: I was alone and idle, I was a sinner too, I heard a voice from heaven say there is work to do; I took my Master’s hand, and I joined the Christian band; I’m on the battlefield for my Lord. CHORUS: I am on. the battlefield for my Lord, I’m on the battlefield for my Lord; I promised Him that I would serve Him till I die; I’m on the battlefield for my Lord. VERSE 3: Now when I met my Savior, I met Him with a smile, He healed my wounded spirit, and owned me as His child; around the throne of grace, He appoints my soul a place; I’m on the battlefield for my Lord. CHORUS: I am on the battlefield for my Lord, I’m on the battlefield for my Lord; I promised Him that I would serve Him till I die; I’m on the battlefield for my Lord. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, according as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great the precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. (All Together) But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Dowathy Law Nolte Minister Patrick O. Hackett ... Minister Patrick O. Hackett was born in 1982 and is a native of Fort Worth, Texas. He is an only child who was reared by his mother, an educator, and grandmother. He notes in his early formative years, he had aspirations of becoming a corporate attorney. However, the Lord had a different plan for Minister Hackett’s life’s pursuits. He likens himself to being a young “Timothy,” as his mother and grandmother are strong, faithful women of God who taught and guided him in the ways of the Lord throughout his life. Minister Hackett notes he knew around the age of eight to nine years old that God had a special purpose for his life. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 19 years old. Minister Hackett received his ministerial license in 2002 and is an active member of the ministerial staff at Veth Eden Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. He has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Morehouse University in Atlanta, Georgia, and plans to enter Dallas Baptist University this Fall to pursue a Masters degree’in Global Leadership. Minister Hackett is alsé in the early stages of formulating “O’Brian Speaks,” a for-profit ministry which will include management of his speaking endeavors. Minister Hackett senses God is presently calling him into the arena of outreach and evangelism, nationally and internationally. He also has a strong desire to work in the field of special education with the mentally and emotionally disabled. He has always had a passion and continues to advocate for God’s people who are experiencing poverty and homelessness and has been involved at the grass roots level in this area for some time. While at Morehouse University, Minister Hackett served as President of Christian Youth Fellowship, a campus outreach ministry, and he held worship services on the campus as well. He was a dedicated member of the Evangelistic Team of the Beacon of Light Baptist Church in Atlanta. The Lord’s favor has been abundantly manifested in Minister Hackett’s life with countless opportunities to preach the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Georgia, Texas and throughout the south and southeast. When asked to share one of his favorite inspirational quotes, Minister Hackett sited John Wesley’s “If a man gets on fire for God, people will come watch him burn!” fl New Zion Baptist Churich “Fhe Church Built By Faith” 2935 Lincoln Avenue ca Ogden, Utah 84401 Annual Youth Day Celebration Sunday, June 24, 2007 ~ 3:30 p.m. Theme: “Rearing a Child on a Sure Foundation” KS (Proverbs 6:20-22, 22:6 & 1 Corinthians 3:11) BS, Order of Service CE OF oS soi sciso cabs ond bias ee a cd ane Min. Choose your companions with care; you become what they are. Be master of your habits, or they will master you. Treasure your time; don’t spend it; invest it. Stand for something; or you'll fall for anything. Select only a date who would make a good mate. See what you can do for others, not what they can do for you.
