Abstract |
In the United States, mood disorders are the number one complication of childbirth and increase the lifetime utilization of mental and physical health services. Early identification of depression in the birthing individual is an essential step in prevention and treatment. The purpose of this Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project aimed to develop a standardized workflow model to ensure early intervention of universal depression screening for all birthing individuals in the obstetric clinic setting, improving health care provider knowledge and reducing bias. |
