Show WOMEN'S COUNCIL Standing: Mitchell Hayden Foulger Squires - Briem Ensign Doxey Middle row: Smith Moore Reeve Herbert Bybee Wilson Smith Front row: Eyre Lindquist McComb Madsen The women's council is a group of girls who have the personal welfare of every girl in the school in their mind. Their motto is for a better student body of girls and they've done an admirable job. Under capable student and faculty supervision they have a lot of successful functions behind them this year. PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE Reeves Rogers Burton Lindquist The publications committee keeps tab on the schools literary achievements and strives for uniqueness in this field of endeavor. In this respect it has been efficient and effective as our publications will attest. Much of the credit belongs to this group for the progress that the school has seen in this department. A. M. S. Sweeney Goddard Toyn The Men's Association is an organization of, by, and for the Weber male. Val Goddard, who is best described as a cross between Tyrone Power and Harpo Marx, runs the association with the help of a small unified council. This group can be credited for the Men's Outing and blamed for the Beard-Growing contest. INTER-CLUB COUNCIL Standing: Davis Fuller Burchell Gilgen Havenor Toyn Barrows Hilton Cawley Petty Willis. Second row: Rounds Foulger Hogge Benson Briem Reeve. Front row: Goddard Williams Pantone Ensign. Strict rules for rushing, pledging, and eligibility of club members are laid down by the Inter-Club Council, which consists of Advisor Bob Davis and three representatives from each social club. This group must iron out any problems which might arise concerning the various authorized clubs. LYCEUM COMMITTEE The Lyceum Committee has done a great work this season in providing for our cultural gratification such world-renowned entertainers, lecturers, and artists as Percy Grainger, Theodore Dreiser, the Welsh Imperial Singers, Ted Shawn's Dancers, and others. Mr. Guy Hurst is chairman of the committee. A. W. S. Standing: Francis Cardon Sitting: Barrows - Petty Poulton. It is the purpose of the Women's Association to see that every Weber woman gets something besides an education out of the school. Boss Phyllis Cardon is an amazing combination of beauty and brains. Under the supervision of a conglomerate council, she sponsors an enthusiastic round of parties, dances, teas, and lectures on charm. |
